What's on the Series 65.

Covers economics and quantitative methods, investment vehicles, client recommendations and portfolio strategies, and the state and federal laws and ethical duties that apply to investment advisers. Passing it qualifies you to register as an investment adviser representative (IAR). You do not need firm sponsorship or the SIE to sit for it.

Who takes it. Aspiring fee-based financial advisers and planners, including CPAs and career changers moving into advisory work.

What score do I need to pass the Series 65?
92 of 130 (71%), on 130 scored questions (plus 10 unscored pretest questions you can't tell apart).
How much does the Series 65 exam cost?
The exam fee is $187, paid when you enroll for the exam. It's separate from the price of the course.
