The exam

What's on the Series 57.

Focuses on the rules that govern trading: market structure and Reg NMS, order types and handling, short sales under Reg SHO, volatility safeguards and anti-manipulation rules, plus trade reporting and clearance and settlement. Passing it together with the SIE qualifies you to register as a Securities Trader, which covers Nasdaq and OTC equity trading and proprietary trading.

What score do I need to pass the Series 57?
70%, on 50 scored questions (plus 5 unscored pretest questions you can't tell apart).
How much does the Series 57 exam cost?
The exam fee is $105, paid when you enroll for the exam. It's separate from the price of the course.
